Da Vinci Academy and STEAM Works Studio are partnering to bring a STEM-focused summer camp for young learners in rising grades 1-3! With lots of hands-on learning and a science focus, morning and afternoon sessions will have different activities for campers to participate in.

Learn electronic fundamentals in this hands-on DIY circuitry course.  Campers will construct and decorate glowing paper and wooden crafts while learning about different types of electrical energy sources, how batteries work, conductivity, switches, LEDs and more!

SCRATCH by MIT is a great way for young children to learn coding fundamentals. Using SCRATCH, campers will employ colorful drag-and-drop coding blocks to create classic games such as Pong and Pacman!

Summer Camp: Simple Circuits and SCRATCH Arcade Games

Offered in partnership with STEAM Works Studio, this camp combines hands-on learning about circuits with an introduction to coding.

Morning sessions: Nanobot Robotics: Moving Machines

A robotics program with a transportation theme! Campers will use motors, gears, pulleys, and sensors to build motorcycles, trucks, helicopters, and airplanes, then bring them to life with drag-and-drop programming!

Campers will embrace their inner mad scientists in this Crazy Chemistry camp! They will conduct zany, safe experiments to learn about elements, chemical properties, and reactions. Like the combination of baking soda and vinegar, this camp is sure to be a blast!

Summer Camp: Nanobot Robotics and Crazy Chemistry

Offered in partnership with STEAM Works Studio, this camp combines hands-on learning about simple machines, programming, and safe chemistry experiments!

SCRATCH by MIT is a great way for young students to learn coding fundamentals. Using SCRATCH, campers will employ colorful drag-and-drop coding blocks to create customized games with Minecraft characters!

Campers will learn all about the ocean’s top predator in our Shark Week camp! From hammerheads to great whites, we will learn about shark behavior and why these fearsome creatures may be misunderstood. Campers will participate in games and projects, including Sharks and Minnows and will learn to build and command a roboshark!

Summer Camp: SCRATCH Minecraft and Shark Week

Offered in partnership with STEAM Works Studio, this camp combines an introduction to coding Minecraft characters with an exploration of the ocean's top predator!

Learn about life under the sea! Campers will have fun studying different sea creatures through a variety of STEM activities. Build and program a robotic dolphin, create a glowing LED angler fish, and experiment with oil and water to learn how marine mammals stay warm.

Space is the place! Learn all about the wonders and mysteries of what lies beyond Earth. Study planets, black holes, stars, and discuss whether alien life is possible. Campers will complete many fun and engaging STEAM projects including LED star circuitry and a robotic Mars rover!

Summer Camp: Under the Sea and Space is the Place

Offered in partnership with STEAM Works Studio, in this camp students will create and code a robotic dolphin and explore planets, black holes, and stars!

Lights, camera, action! Using stop motion animation, campers will create their own mini movie masterpiece! From crafting clay characters, LEGO mini figures and backdrops to painting backgrounds, from editing to story boarding and  script writing, these budding Spielbergs will learn all there is about movie making.

Using air-dry clay and other bake-free pottery alternatives, younger artists will receive an introduction to sculptural forms with a variety of fun projects perfect for kids. Campers will work with simple projects like clay pinch pots, pencil holders, and fun animal creations that they can decorate, paint, and take home, all while learning about the ancient origins of pottery.

Summer Camp: Pottery and Making LEGO Movies
